Senses Experiment
The nutrition classes did a simple experiment to see how the senses of smell and taste are related. While blindfolded, they sampled small pieces of raw potato, apple, and onion. Then they held their nose and sampled the foods again.
Your sense of smell helps your sense of taste. Some food scientists believe that most of what you taste is really what you smell. You may have noticed that foods seem to have little flavor when you have a head cold.

Did they guess them right when they were blindfolded?
